Burglars following apartment renters and condo owners into buildings, police warn

DENVER - Denver police say a team of thieves has hit at least 40 times at apartment complexes, typically in high-end neighborhoods like Cherry Creek.

Police released several photos of the two suspects Thursday, asking for help identifying the suspects.

Investigators are calling these serial burglars the "2 Tight Crew" because they always hit together.

The thieves appear in several outfits in the various surveillance photos from the apartment complexes' security cameras.

So far, the 2 Tight Crew has hit apartment complexes in Cheesman Park, Capitol Hill and others in Congress Park and Cherry Creek.

These guys typically follow a resident in and act as if they live there, chatting with anyone they encounter.

They are also using keys and key fobs stolen from previous crimes at the same apartment complexes.

They target common areas and garages and steal electronics, bikes, tools and even cars.

The locations hit so far include: 77 S. Adams St., 130 Pearl St., 1050 Corona St., 1150 Vine St., 1245 Humboldt St. and 1313 Steele St.

If you recognize the suspects, please call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867) or Text 274637 (CRIMES) then title DMCS & enter your message. Tipsters can remain anonymous and still collect a reward.
