DENVER - The Broncos play their first preseason game Thursday night.
It starts with a Super Bowl XLVIII rematch.
The Broncos will host the Seattle Seahawks at Sports Authority Field at Mile High at 7 p.m.
The starters aren't expected to play for very long. During the preseason opener last year, quarterback Peyton Manning took just seven snaps, 7NEWS Reporter Eric Lupher said.
Fans are hoping to see the new players the Broncos spent $30 million on -- including cornerback Aquib Talib, defensive end DeMarcus Ware, rookie receiver Cody Latimer, safety T.J. Ward and receiver Emanuel Sanders (may not play due to injury.)
Quarterback Brock Osweiler also said he expects to play Thursday night.
This is the first time the Broncos will kick off the preseason at home since 1997, according to the team website.
