A host of Boulder residents shelved their car keys and pulled out their inner tubes.
BOULDER, Colo. -- A summer tradition continued Friday as Boulder residents hung up their car keys and tubed to work on inner tubes.
Hundreds floated down Boulder Creek Friday just after the event began at 8 a.m., with professionals putting wet suits on over their work suits.
Reports suggest over 500 showed up, causing slight traffic jams in the bustling creek, but they were greeted with refreshments at the end of their trips down the creek.
One commuter said she chose to take the trip -- which is growing in popularity from year to year -- to help save the environment.
