SAN FRANCISCO - Authorities say the fatal shootings of three men whose bodies were found inside a rural home in Northern California stemmed from a botched marijuana deal.

Sonoma County Sheriff's Lt. Dennis O'Leary said Wednesday that 42-year-old Todd Klarkowski of Boulder, Colo., 26-year-old Raleigh Butler of Petaluma, Calif., and 46-year-old Richard Lewin of Huntington, N.Y., were gunned down Tuesday in the home where Butler's mother has been staying near Forestville, Calif.

O'Leary says Lewin and Klarkowski arrived in town to apparently buy a large amount of pot. It's believed they were killed along with Butler by a drug dealer.

The bodies were discovered by Butler's brother and his girlfriend, who became concerned after they could not reach Butler on the phone.

No arrests have been made.

The shooting remains under investigation.
