BOULDER, Colo. - Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle won't be getting the $300,000 he sought to equip up to 30 marked patrol vehicles with a camera system.

Boulder County commissioners decided the cameras won't make the 2013 budget.

According to the Longmont Times-Call, Pelle told commissioners the cameras could provide evidence in criminal investigations, as well as protect deputies from false accusations and lawsuits from some of the suspects they encounter.
