SUPERIOR, Colo. – The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man’s window was shot out on Highway 36 early Friday morning.

The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. on the Boulder Turnpike between the Flatirons Crossing and McCaslin exits.

The man was driving toward Boulder when a vehicle, described as an “older” white Toyota or Honda sedan, pulled up alongside him and the man’s window shattered.

Boulder County deputies showed up to investigate and determined someone had indeed shot out the window after they found a bullet hole in the man’s Chevrolet truck.

The sheriff’s office says there is currently no motive for the shooting. It is asking anyone who saw the shooting to contact Boulder County Detective Jeff Pelletier at 303-441-3635 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
