BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - Flooding has destroyed 119 homes in Boulder County and damaged 111 homes, authorities said Monday night.
In the first figures released on buildings damaged by widespread flooding, Boulder County emergency management officials also said 28 commercial buildings were damaged and one was destroyed.
Meanwhile, officials said 215 people in Boulder County were rescued Monday by helicopter and 11 others were rescued with ground vehicles. Some 120 pets were also rescued.
While 183 residents remain unaccounted for, officials said they have contacted a total of 567 people who were once "unnaccounted for."
