BOULDER, Colo. - A Boulder-based software development company is planning a $70 million initial public stock offering.

Rally Software officials said they plan to use the money for corporate purchases, data center equipment, sales expansion and international growth.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera, the company focuses on software aimed at emphasizing collaboration, communications and the frequent deployment of software.

Rally Software -- founded in 2001 as F4 Technologies Inc. -- has experienced torrid growth during much of the past decade.

At the end of 2012, Rally had 285 employees worldwide and had outgrown two office buildings in Boulder, according to the Camera. More growth is coming to its 33rd and Walnut Street location, where it is currently leasing a 65,545-square-foot building and plans to build a 93,000-square-foot addition.
