CASTLE ROCK, Colo. - Douglas County authorities are planning to dig up a body in a decades-old case.

Coroner and sheriff's investigators will exhume the girl's body Friday from a Castle Rock cemetery in an effort to determine her identity.

According to the Denver Post, the body of an unidentified teenage girl was found in 1993 near the Rainbow Falls Campground in Douglas County between Woodland Park and Deckers.

The coroner's office at the time concluded that the girl may have been hit in the head. Officials also believed she may have been a runaway.
