FOUNTAIN, Colo. - Police say a body found in creek last week was a man wanted by police two months ago.

In December, officers responding to a report of a suspicious person at a truck stop tried to pull Nathaniel Ryan Vialpando over, but he drove away.

His vehicle was later found crashed into a pole in a field.

Police obtained a warrant to arrest him on suspicion of eluding.

However, officers didn't find him until someone walking a dog found Vialpando's body in Fountain Creek on Friday.

An autopsy is planned to determine how Vailpando died. Officers say his body had no obvious signs of injury.
