DENVER - Both directions of I-70 are open between Aurora and Kansas after blowing snow forced closures Wednesday.

Eastbound Interstate 70 was closed from Aurora to Kansas at 7 p.m. Wednesday due to adverse weather, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.

That's a 155-mile stretch of highway from the outskirts of the Denver metro area to the Colorado-Kansas border.

Westbound I-70 reopened earlier between Denver and Kansas after being closed for six hours.

Cameras from the area showed snowpacked roads and blowing snow.
