ARVADA, Colo. - Arvada Police are looking for several baseball bat-carrying burglars who have ripped off at least 15 businesses.
Officers said the men use the baseball bat to break into the businesses after hours, then grab alcohol and cigarettes before running out.
“They are in and out very quickly, knowing their window of opportunity is small” said Detective Jeff Johnson of the Arvada Police Department.
On January 3, a liquor store in Arvada was hit close to midnight. Fifteen minutes later, the burglars hit a store in Wheat Ridge.
The night before, they burglarized a store in Westminster.
Police believe the burglars are responsible for 15 burglaries in the past month.
“Because they have a very distinct style of clothing, we are hoping that someone recognizes them,” Johnson said.
Anyone with information about the burglars or the burglaries is asked to call the Arvada Police Department at 720.898.6900.
