DENVER - A standoff situation near 14th Avenue and Garfield Street ended peacefully around 6:20 p.m. Thursday.
Police had asked the public to stay away from the immediate area while officers had guns trained on a two-story house near the intersection.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said the suspect was wanted on an out-of-state warrant and officers were trying to pick him up when the barricade began.
East 14th Avenue was closed between Monroe and Jackson streets, as a result of the police activity.
