DENVER - Denver police have a suspect in custody after receiving reports of a barricaded gunman at South Colorado Boulevard and East Florida Avenue.
The suspect was brought out of the building at about 8:20 p.m.
Earlier, police said they received a report of a robbery at Second Spin and then a report of a barricade situation in a building, at about 2:30 p.m. Employees and customers were able to get out unharmed.
Police made reverse phone calls to tell employees of nearby businesses to shelter in place during the standoff. They also asked the media not to show photos of officers outside the building, in order not to alert the gunman to their positions.
The suspect did make any demands and never made voice contact with police during the standoff.
