Baby river otters born at Pueblo Zoo!

PUEBLO, Colo. - Oh, the cuteness!

We're getting our first look at two baby river otters that were born this month at the Pueblo Zoo!

The North American river otter pups were born to their mother, Freyja, on March 3rd.

Look how tiny they are!

Did you know the baby otters won't learn to swim for at least two months?

"The pups will remain in their nest box for at least 8 weeks and then Freyja will need to teach them to swim," zoo officials said.

Once they've mastered swimming, they can be introduced into the otter exhibit where the public can see them.

Zoo officials have not said what the new pups will be named.
