Autopsy: Infant had healing rib, leg fractures in addition to skull fracture

Mother charged in Jomei Johnson's death

DENVER - Final autopsy results from an postmortem examination of a 4-month-old boy show the child suffered a skull fracture in addition to rib and leg fractures during his short lifetime.

The infant, identified as Jomei Johnson, died last March after his mother called 911 to report he had stopped breathing.

The autopsy showed the rib and leg fractures suffered by Johnson were healing when he died and his manner of death has been ruled a homicide

Taylor Sierra Bush, 22, was questioned by police and said she shook her son only to revive him when she saw he wasn't breathing. Bush is charged with child abuse resulting in death, a felony. She was formally charged last March and remains jailed under a $100,000 bond. She has a court date on Sept. 4.
