DENVER - Prosecutors say they have charged a Denver man in connection with a Jan. 9 hit-and-run that left a pedestrian dead.
Marshall L. Smith is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, according to the Denver District Attorney's Office.
Smith is accused of making a right turn from eastbound Exposition Avenue to southbound Colorado Boulevard and then striking a pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk with a walk signal.
The victim, 63-year-old Leanna Hund, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center but did not survive her injuries.
Smith has been released from custody on bond. His next scheduled court appearance is slated for Feb. 10.
