Aurora Police investigating attempted kidnapping after school on East 16th Ave. near Oswego Street

AURORA, Colo. - Aurora Police are investigating a report of an attempted kidnapping.

A 13-year-old girl told police that she was walking home from school about 3:20 p.m. Wednesday when she saw a car drive past her several times.

The teen told police she spotted the car a few minutes later, parked on East 16th Avenue near Oswego Street.

When the girl walked by the car, she said the driver got out and grabbed her arm.

The teen told police she was able to pull away and run.

Aurora Police said the suspect was a Hispanic man in his late 30s to early 40s, he's 5-feet-6-inches to 5-feet-8-inches tall with a medium build.  He was wearing a blue baseball cap with "New York" in white lettering, a light gray zippered hoodie and khaki pants. 

The suspect was driving a newer model light gray or brown Chevy Cruze (or similar style) 4-door, with tinted windows and a temporary license plate displayed in the rear window.
