AURORA, Colo. – Police identified Monday two people they believe stole a car belonging to a Walmart employee who tried to stop the theft by leaping on her car’s hood.

Police say the victim was using her keys to open boxes during her shift at an Aurora Walmart in January. The two suspects found the victim’s keys when she set them aside as she continued working, police said via a Facebook post.

The victim rushed to the parking lot when she realized her keys were stolen. Police say she tried to stop the suspected thieves by jumping on the hood of her car as the couple attempted their getaway. She eventually jumped off and was not harmed.

The suspects are also accused of using the victim’s credit cards that were inside the stolen car. The car was later retrieved.

Aurora Police posted images of the suspects on its Facebook page in hopes of identifying them. The post was later updated with information that investigators know who the suspects are, but they are not releasing their names at this time.
