Attempted child abduction reported near Fort Lupton High School

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man who tried abduct a teen.

Police said the man approached a 14-year-old female in the area of Fort Lupton High School, at 530 Reynolds St., on Wednesday morning at 7:13.

According to the teen, the man pushed her against a fence, telling her to "Be quiet."  The 14-year-old started punching the man in order to get away, hitting him in the face.

The man returned to his vehicle and left in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as tall and thin, approximately 6-feet tall, weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored beanie hat, a dark colored coat and dark colored jeans. The male spoke with a deep voice. The suspect's vehicle is described as a light colored station wagon or SUV with a hatchback, tinted windows and possibly an altered suspension lower to the ground.
