Arrest warrant issued for Boulder shooting suspect, Elliott Joseph Forgette

BOULDER, Colo. - An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of a shooting north of downtown Boulder on Tuesday.

According to our partners at the Daily Camera, witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area of Fifth Street and Maxwell Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. and saw three suspects walking away from the area.

No one was hurt.

Boulder police initially said Elliott "Kenny" Forgette, of Longmont, was a person of interest in that incident. Thursday police announced an arrest warrant had been issued for Forgette on charges of attempted murder and aggravated robbery.

Forgette has a lengthy criminal history in Colorado, including prior arrests for dangerous drug possession, aggravated motor vehicle theft, hit and run, identity theft, credit card fraud and driving on a revoked license.

Forgette is 5 feet 10, 190 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes.

His last know address was in Thornton, police said.
