Arrest made in Aurora Target Black Friday pharmacy robbery

AURORA, Colo. - Aurora police said they have arrested a suspect in Friday night's armed robbery at a Target pharmacy.

Police said John Pomeroy, 33, is being held on a $50,000 bond for investigation of various felonies including aggravated robbery of controlled substances.

The robbery occurred at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Aurora Target store just off South Havana Street near East Idaho Place.

One shot was fired inside the store Friday on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

According to police, no one was injured when a masked gunman fired into the ceiling at the Target pharmacy just off South Havana Street near East Idaho Place just before 6:30 p.m.

The gunman fled from the store on foot.

The store was evacuated but some customers in the store weren't even aware a robbery had occurred, according to police.
