Armed robber hits Boulder market on Christmas Day

BOULDER, Colo. - Boulder police are looking for an armed robber who held up Lolita's Market on Wednesday afternoon and say he matches the description of a man who recently robbed two fast-food restaurants.

The gunman hit just before 4 p.m., taking an undetermined amount of cash from the grocery store.  He was last seen walking east on Pearl Street in the 800 block.

Victims described him as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.  He had a white towel wrapped  around his head.  He was wearing a red and black-striped shirt and blue jeans. The suspect carried a gun in his waistband.

Police say he matches the description of a suspect in two recent robberies at Subway and Quiznos.  In the two previous cases, the suspect was wearing a white towel to cover his face.
