Armed men forced screaming woman into van at Boulder gas station Tuesday night, witnesses claim

BOULDER, Colo. - Police are asking for help from the public after two people reported seeing armed men force a screaming woman into a van at a Boulder gas station Tuesday night.

Witnesses told police four to five men abducted the woman at the Circle K gas station at 1480 Canyon Blvd. at about 10 p.m. Officers are still working to confirm the report.

Investigators are looking for a white extended Ford van with tinted windows. The license plate may start with 868-GY, according to a dispatcher for the Boulder Police Department. The van is older but in very good condition. The middle row seat was removed, but the back row seat remained in place.

The van was last seen heading west on Canyon Boulevard

The driver, who reportedly had a handgun, is described as a white man with a beard. Another suspect is described as a Hispanic man, who was about 5-feet-6 and 30 years old. He was wearing a dark jacket with the collar folded up, dark blue jeans and white New Balance tennis shoes.

The woman is described as about 35 years old with curly blond/brown hair and very skinny. She was wearing a baby blue hooded winter coat, blue jeans and carrying a tan purse with very large buckles.

Police said they had not received any reports of a missing woman since the alleged abduction.

Anyone with direct information about the van or knowledge of the incident are urged to call the Boulder Police Department’s tip line at 303-441-1974 or police dispatch 24-hours-a-day at 303-441-3333.
