KEYSTONE, Colo. – Great news, skiers and snowboarders: You don’t have to put away your gear just yet.
Arapahoe Basin announced Tuesday that it would be open for a bonus weekend from Friday, June 9 through Sunday, June 11. The Black Mountain Express and Lenawee Mountain lifts will both be running from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
A-Basin is currently the only ski area still open for the year and had originally planned to wrap up the season on June 4, but a healthy dose of late-season snow allowed them to stay open longer.
“We had a tremendous storm in mid-May that brought two feet of snow to the ski area, and the conditions have been outstanding,” said Chief Operating Officer Alan Henceroth.
Staff say they may add another bonus weekend, if weather allows.
