DENVER - Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is adding nearly 300 jobs at its Denver office, the health insurer said Thursday.
The jobs will add to Anthem's current Colorado workforce of 1,700, including 250 workers hired so far this year.
Positions range from entry level to managerial in customer service, training and other functions.
Anthem serves about 1 million members in Colorado through medical, dental, life and specialty plans.
"The Colorado workforce is ideal for expanding our capabilities to better serve our members," Mike Ramseier, president of Anthem in Colorado, said in a news release. "These are important jobs with solid benefits, and many of the new positions will be specifically focused on helping our customers better navigate the changes in the health care system."
