Alexander Moseley arrested in Lower Downtown Denver parking garage attack

DENVER - Denver Police have arrested a man suspected of attacking a woman in a parking garage in Lower Downtown Denver June 8.

The woman told police she saw two men standing by the elevator in the Alamo Parking Garage near 18th and Market streets at about 1:45 a.m. when she walked in.

When she got on the elevator, one of the two men followed her inside, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The woman told police that when she exited the elevator on the third floor, the man followed her.

When the woman got to her car, the man pushed her inside, climbed on top of her and tried to sexually assault her, according to the Denver Police Department affidavit.

The woman sprayed the man with pepper spray from her key chain and fought him off.

Police said the man ran off, the woman went to the pay station on the first floor to get help.

Investigators reviewing the garage's security video found video of the suspect following the woman into the elevator and later found video showing the same man getting into an SUV. Officers got the license plate number and tracked down the owner, who eventually helped police locate the suspect.

Alexander C. Moseley, 26, was arrested and charged with attempted sexual assault.
