DENVER – Air Canada will begin offering two direct flights between Vancouver and Denver International Airport starting next May.

DIA announced the new airline partnership Wednesday, saying Vancouver gets Canada’s second-highest traffic out of the airport – behind Toronto.

There will be two flights a day starting May 18. Two flights will run each day through Sept. 10, and one flight per day will be offered for the rest of the year.

Each flight will be able to seat 75 passengers and will leave Denver at 7:55 a.m. year-round. The second flight running through late spring and summer will leave DIA at 2:55 p.m.

Flights back to Denver will arrive at 6:25 p.m. year-round and the second flight will arrive at 2:20 p.m. during the summer months.

Both DIA and Air Canada said they were pleased with the new partnership. Air Canada also runs nonstop service from DIA to Toronto and Montreal.
