If fans needed any more proof that Broncos fever is running high in the Mile High City, tickets for Sunday’s AFC Championship against the New England Patriots were sold out on Ticketmaster.com within a matter of minutes.

Tickets went on sale at noon on Monday, as fans logged in online and on the mobile app to grab them up at face value. Tickets on the site ranged from $100 to $625.

If you still want to go to the game, there are tickets available on other sites, but you’ll be paying a premium.

Stubhub.com has an increasing amount of tickets available for the game ranging in price from around $450 to several thousand dollars.

The increasing price of admission is money that many fans believe is money well spent.

“It’s just crazy energy, everybody loves it. It’s orange crush fever,” said Cody Tew.  “I just think it’s so cool that these two teams are, everybody kind of predicted it was going to be here in the end and then even though it looked sketchy at some times, they found a way to get back Peyton being back and playing is just amazing.”

Fans are coming from states all over the region to grab gear and attend the game Sunday. Lance Austin took a stadium tour a day after attending the divisional round and was able to score a ticket through a friend who lives in the area for next Sunday’s game.

“I can’t even describe it. I’m ecstatic, you know, I’m usually at one playoff game a year, but there’s something about next week that I just had to do and yeah, ecstatic would be the word that I would use for next week,” said Austin.

In order to limit scalping of the AFC Championship tickets, ticketmaster.com put restrictions on sales. Buyers had to have a billing address in the Rocky Mountain region and the limit was four per family.

The restrictions didn’t seem to prolong sales though. Denver7 reporter Mark Boyle tried to get tickets live on air during the Orange and Blue review show Monday -- unsuccessfully. However, interestingly, everyone he spoke with who was able to purchase tickets, did so on the Ticket Master mobile app.

Kickoff Sunday between the Broncos and Patriots is set for 1:05 pm at Sports Authority Field at Mille High. The winner earns a trip to Super Bowl 50.
