Advance screening of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Monday night benefits Aurora Rise

AURORA, Colo. - You can see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 before it comes out in theaters.

There is an advance screening at 7 p.m. Monday at the Movie Tavern in Aurora. The movie starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone opens in theaters May 2.

A portion of ticket sales will go towards Aurora Rise's continued effort to support the victims and survivors of the Aurora movie theater shooting on July 20, 2012.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online for $10.00 http://www.aurorarise.org/spiderman/

"The need for help and assistance for the victims and survivors of the Century 16 Aurora Theater Shooting is even more apparent with the impending trial dates set for early 2015 and diminishing victim compensation appointed funds," said Megan Sullivan with Aurora Rise.

"We will continue this effort so that no one will ever be forgotten and so that the public will never forget," Sullivan said.
