Police: Lovi stole $134,000 from sick employer

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police are asking the public's help in locating a man accused of embezzling more than $134,000 from a company while the owner was recovering from a long illness.

Police said the fugitive, Waldo Lovi, 41, is wanted on an arrest warrant charging him with felony theft. If convicted of the crime, Lovi could face a sentence of between four and 12 years in prison.

Lovi is a Hispanic man who is 6-feet-1-inch tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

Lovi is a mechanic by trade and is believed to be working as a differential mechanic in the Pueblo area, police said.

Police ask anyone with information on Lovi's whereabouts to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Colorado Springs Police Department at 719-444-7000.
