Accused child molester sought in Denver area; Wanted in Longmont case

Police: Suspect knew victim

LONGMONT, Colo. - Longmont police are asking for the public's help in locating a man accused of sexually assaulting a child that he knew.

Police said David Mitchell Johnson, 49, has arrest warrants for sexual assault on a child and sexual exploitation of a child.

He is 5-feet 10-inches tall, weighs 135 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Police have information he may be staying in the Denver area.

The crime was reported on Dec. 31, 2013 and Johnson fled Longmont shortly after.
