Friday and Saturday

Halloween Kids Fest at the Downtown Aquarium

What: Enjoy a kid-friendly Halloween celebration filled with games, crafts, activities, costume contest and more.

Where: Downtown Aquarium, 700 Water Street, Denver.


Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m-9 p.m.

Admission: Kids ages 3-11 in costume get 1/2 price admission with purchase of adult ticket.

Pumpkin Patch (Ages 2-8)

What: Come paint a pumpkin, take a swing at a piñata, wear you’re costume in out costume parade and more.

Where:  Montclair Recreation Center, 729 Ulster Way, Denver

Lowry Halloween Festival & Schools Expo

What: Come trick-or-treat in the Lowry town Center shops. Take a hay ride, enjoy the magic show, balloon sculpting, pumpkin painting and parents don’t miss the Schools Expo, featuring public and private schools in and around Lowry.

Where:  Lowry Town Center shops, Quebec Street at East 2nd Avenue, Denver


Saturday: 3 p.m.-6 p.m.

The Highland Hunt

What: Free activities include trick-or-treating, mechanical-bull rides, live music, a costume contest, street performers, piñata stations, and cake-walk. A $5 per child all-inclusive activity pass gains access to the popular horse-driven hayride (adults ride free with paying child), bounce houses, face-painting and pumpkin patch.

Where: The Highland Haunt, Zuni Street and W. 32nd Avenue, Denver

What: Come join us for our third annual HalloWheels event! Dress up in a costume or just wear seasonal orange. Fall fun for the whole family.

Gorilla Run

What: The 10th Annual Denver Gorilla Run will host over 1,500 individuals in lower downtown Denver wearing gorilla costumes and geared up to hit the 5K course by feet or wheels. This Halloween event brings out the creative side in everyone as many suited souls dress up their gorilla costumes for a good cause.  The 5K fun run, walk, ride takes participants on a scenic course through Lower downtown and the Platte River Valley.

Where: Wynkoop Brewing Company at 1634 18th Street, Denver


Saturday: 11:00 a.m. (registration from 9:00am to 10:30am)

Boo at the Zoo After Dark

What: Start off the annual event with a special nighttime edition with nocturnal creatures.
