Elitch Gardens Fright Fest
What: Family by Day, fright by night. Celebrate Halloween with 2 brand new haunted houses, live shows, and kids’ treats.
Where: Elitch Gardens, 2000 Elitch Circle, Denver
Friday: 5 p.m.-10 p.m.
Saturday: 12 pm.-10 p.m.
Admission: $8 per attraction, $34.99 per daily ticket

What: Enjoy a fall day at Barr Lake with hay rack rides, a pumpkin sale, face painter, rye maze and food.
Where: Barr Lake Nature Center, 13401 Picadilly Rd, Brighton, Colo.

Admission: Event is free but does require $7 per car park entry fee or free with annual parks pass.

Denver Beer Fest (21 and older)
What: Join in on the final two days of the Denver Beer Fest. The event includes beer tastings at local restaurants, beer-paired dinners and “meet- the brewer” nights.

All Weekend Long
What: Embrace the fall season at this year’s Pumpkin Festival. This three day event is a great tradition for the entire family where thousands of pumpkins will be ripe for the picking in our 10-acre patch. Families can enjoy live music by Stray Dog Colorado, express face painting, pumpkin carving demonstrations and pumpkin bowling. The ever-so-popular monster hand-building station will return to this year’s festival. Kids can enjoy pony rides, amusement rides, balloon twists, giant coloring murals and a cookie decorating station.

Anderson Farms Fall Festival
What: Fall into autumnal activities such as a corn maze, wagon rides and pumpkin launching.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
What: Anything when these circus performers come to town. Come see the perfect blend of athleticism and bravery, where power meets fearlessness and amazement has no bounds.
