Summer In Denver Benefit Concert

What: Support some of Denver’s best poets and artist for a great cause. Summer in Denver gives kids and young adults the opportunity to have free, safe fun in the summer. The concert features award winning Slam Nuba poet Ayinde Russell.

Juneteenth Music Celebration

What: Commemorated in cities across the nation and around the world, Juneteenth is a cultural event celebrated by diverse people of all colors, backgrounds, and nationalities. The celebration revisits the ending of slavery and the beginning of African American independence in the United States. The festival features Grammy nominated group Les Nubians, comedian Derrick Rush and Mayor Michael Hancock for the Juneteenth parade.

Where:  Juneteenth Parade starts Manual High School, 26th and Gilpin Street. Celebration is at 26th and Welton Street, Denver.

When: Saturday: Parade starts at 10 a.m., Festival opens at 12 p.m.

National Get Outdoors Day

What: The 7th annual National Get Outdoors Day Colorado will be held June 14 at Denver’s City Park from 9am to 4pm.  Free and open to the public, the event is for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, and aims to provide educational experiences for healthy living, active outdoor lifestyles and conservation awareness.

32nd Annual Highlands Street Fair

What: Featuring 10 a.m. kickoff with traditional Scottish bagpipe music, Over 180 vendor booths featuring artisan wares, leather goods, jewelry, photography, paintings, pottery, clothing, furniture and much more.

World Cup Soccer Celebration

What: The World Soccer Celebration presented by Western Union will run from June 13-16 in downtown Denver, featuring live broadcasts of matches from Brazil on a 20-foot screen in Skyline Park near the 16th Street Mall. The public is invited to this free event that includes four days of live soccer, food and drink vendors, games, giveaways and more. The event will culminate in the U.S. National Team's match against Ghana on Monday, June 16 at 3:30 p.m.
