70 miles of trails and many climbing formations reopened around Boulder after September flood

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. - The City of Boulder’s Open Space and Mountain Parks Department (OSMP) has reopened more than 70 miles of trails and many climbing formations that were closed after the September flood.
Flood-related trail restrictions remain in place for the areas surrounding South Boulder Creek Trail and the East Boulder Trail at White Rocks, along with all trail areas west of Broadway and Highway 93, according to the city's website.
Hikers should be aware that current trail conditions may be substantially different from pre-flood conditions.
The following OSMP trails are now open for the public:
-- Teller Farm: The East Boulder Trail from Arapahoe to Valmont / East Boulder Trail - Gunbarrel Farm
-- Wonderland Lake Loop
-- Mt. Sanitas / Red Rocks / Sunshine Canyon area trails:
Sanitas Valley remains closed (except the portion needed to reach Dakota Ridge)
Sunshine Canyon Trail
Red Rocks Trails
Anemone Trail remains closed
-- Cottontail Trail in East Boulder
-- North and South Fork Shanahan Trails
-- Boulder Valley Ranch, Eagle, Lefthand, and Foothills Trailheads and all trails in this area
-- Chautauqua and Enchanted Mesa area trails:
Bluebell Road to the shelter
A portion of the Ski Jump trail
Bluebell/Baird down to the Baseline Trail
McClintock (Upper and Lower)
A portion of Mesa
A portion of Kohler Mesa
The 1st/2nd & Flatirons Trail.
-- Marshall Mesa, Greenbelt Plateau, Flatrions Vista area trails:
A portion of Flatirons Vista South Trail remains closed.
Trail users can park at the Greenbelt Plateau Trailhead.
-- Sawhill Ponds
-- Sombrero Marsh
-- Cherryvale Trailhead and Cherryvale Trail
-- Bear Peak, South Boulder Peak, Shadow Canyon, Fern Canyon area trails:
A portion of the Mesa Trail is open
Shadow Canyon and Fern Canyon are open
-- Bobolink Trailhead: The greenways concrete path is open. The South Boulder Creek trail remains closed.
-- Dry Creek Trailhead and Trail are open.
-- Cottonwood Trail is open.
-- Foothills Trail: A portion of the Foothills Trail is open.
-- NCAR Trailhead, NCAR Trail, NCAR Water Tank Rd, NCAR Water Tank Access Point, Mallory Cave Trail are open.
-- East Boulder - Gunbarrel Trail
-- Fern Canyon/Mesa Trail Loop
-- Wonderland Hill - gliding trails
-- Doudy Draw Area - Doudy Draw, Community Ditch, Springbrook Loop, Goshawk Ridge and most of Fowler.
OSMP has also lifted nighttime and off-trail restrictions on open trails east of Broadway and Colorado Highway 93.
-- Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) has assessed its trail system, and is opening trails as quickly and as safely as it can.
