60 people displaced after Aurora apartment fire

Blaze breaks out at Carson Apartments Saturday

AURORA, Colo. - An early morning apartment fire on Saturday displaced 60 people in Aurora and fire investigators are working to find out what caused it.

The fire was reported at 5 a.m. and the Aurora Fire Department said everyone in the Carson Apartments was displaced as a result of heavy smoke damage.    The building, near East Iowa Drive and South Blackhawk Way has 18 units.

The Red Cross provided shelter for those who didn't have an alternate place to go, as a result of the fire. 

Investigators are looking looking at possible arson as a cause, including reports that people a balcony caught fire as a result of fireworks.
