$5M renovation project begins at Fiddler's Green

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. - Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre in Greenwood Village will go greener with $5 million in improvements, our partners at the Denver Post reported.

Demolition of parts of the amphitheater started Tuesday. The renovation is scheduled to be complete by May 15, according to Cynthia Madden Leitner, CEO of the Museum of Outdoor Arts, which owns the facility.

Earlier this year, the museum signed a 15-year lease with the Rocky Mountain division of AEG Live. Local AEG chief Chuck Morris promised the renovations when that deal was announced in August.

"MOA is working together with AEG to restore Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre and upgrade its ambience aesthetically and functionally," Madden Leitner said.

MOA and AEG are sharing costs, although a breakout was not released.
