1. Fourth of July traffic rush begins
Today kicks off the Fourth of July traffic rush. The heaviest traffic is expected along westbound I-70 from Denver through the mountains Friday through Saturday evening, and the return eastbound traffic is also expected to cause headaches between Summit County and Denver Tuesday and Wednesday. http://bit.ly/2trfTpx

2. Teen accused of killing 10-year-old Kiaya Campbell due in court
The teenaged boy accused of killing a 10-year-old Thornton girl earlier this month will be back in an Adams County courtroom Friday. The hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. 

3. Congress goes on recess
It appears unlikely that Senate Republicans will vote on a revised health care bill before the Fourth of July recess.

4. Cooler temps Friday

5. The 2017 Denver Comic Con begins
