DENVER -- Good morning! Here's what you need to know today, Thursday July 13.

1. Baby box program kicks off
The Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation is holding a kickoff event to celebrate the launch of the baby box program. The free program gives new parents a box containing items such as diapers, baby wipes, a onesie, nursing pads, activity cards and more. http://bit.ly/2ubI0Km

2. Hickenlooper attends National Governors Association Summer Meeting
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper will travel to Rhode Island to attend the National Governors Association Summer Meeting. More than 30 governors will be attending the four-day event.

3. President arrives in France
President Donald Trump landed in Paris this morning on his second trip to Europe in the past week. He will be the guest of honor at a Bastille Day parade.

4. Brighton Boulevard closure
Denver Public Works has closed Brighton Boulevard at 38th until Monday. Crews are removing old asphalt and concrete and putting in new concrete as part of a plan to make the road more bike- and pedestrian-friendly.

5. Cooler temperatures Thursday
