1. Much cooler day

2. Colorado-based companies release quarterly earnings reports
Several publicly-traded Colorado-based companies, including Dish Network, Western Union and Arrow Electronics, will report second-quarter earnings Thursday.
3. Governor speaks at Aspen luncheon
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper will be in Aspen Thursday to speak at the Aspen Institute’s Aspen Ascend Luncheon, with Colorado Lt. Governor Donna Lynn in attendance.
4. Home prices dip slightly
The median sold price of residential properties in the Denver metro area was down slightly in July to $385,000, according to the latest data from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors. Despite the decrease, home prices are nearly 10 percent higher than they were a year ago.
5. Colorado Blvd. closures
Some northbound lanes of Colorado Boulevard will be closed between 8th and 11th avenues due to work on a private development. Work is scheduled to last from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
