2. Brown Palace turns 125
Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper gives remarks at the 125th Anniversary of the Brown Palace today.

3. Rain continues
A series of weak disturbances will continue to move over Colorado for the next few days, keeping showers and thunderstorms in the forecast through the weekend.

4. Broncos preseason opener
Get ready, Broncos fans! Today is the team's preseason opener. The Broncos take on the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago at 6 p.m.

5. Denver Parade of Homes gets underway
Sixty-six newly-built homes are on display in the Denver metro area starting Thursday. They're all for sale -- starting in the $300,000 range. Homes will be open Thursdays through Sundays from now until Labor Day.
