DENVER - An adult and child being treated in an ambulance after a two-vehicle crash in Denver were injured again Thursday when a third vehicle hit the ambulance.
The initial crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of West 8th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, according to Denver Police.
In addition to the adult and 6-year-old child, two more adults were also injured in the initial crash.
The ambulance carrying the adult and child was hit as it pulled away from the crash scene. The ambulance continued to Denver Health Medical Center with the injured pair.
The second ambulance carrying the couple from the second car made it to the hospital without incident.
No one in the vehicle that hit the ambulance was injured.
Police are investigating both crashes.
