DENVER - The Weld County coroner has released the names of four people, including two children, killed when a flatbed truck crashed into a car in Weld County Saturday morning.
Mark Ward identified the victims as 45-year-old Jamie Prado-Garcia and his wife, 63-year-old Linda Alvarez, both of Omaha, Neb. The two children killed in the crash were 8-year-old Pedro Partida and 2-year-old Christian Partida, of Evans. The boys were nephews of Prado-Garcia.
Cpl. Heather Cobler, a spokeswoman for the Colorado State Patrol, said a man driving the flatbed semitrailer was southbound on County Road 49 when he crashed into a westbound silver Infinity sedan that failed to stop at a stop sign.
The truck driver was taken by helicopter to a hospital, but his condition was not released.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
