DENVER - Two people were arrested after they jumped out of an SUV that crashed while trying to avoid a traffic stop in Denver. Officers are still looking for a third person.

Officers first tried to pull the Lincoln Navigator over for a traffic infraction near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Detroit Street around noon, Denver police spokesman Detective John White said. The SUV didn't stop for that officer.

Later, White said, another officer saw the SUV and started to pursue it.

The white Lincoln crashed into a Toyota SUV and continued into the supports under the balcony of a building near 32nd Avenue and Arapahoe Street. That crash caused a gas leak.

White said three people jumped out of the SUV. Two of them were arrested but officers are still looking for a third.
