VAIL, Colo. - Two more Colorado ski resorts have opened for the season, but one is delaying its opening day.

Vail Mountain and the Eldora Mountain Resort opened for the season Friday. Both are celebrating their 50th anniversary ski seasons.

Monarch Mountain was hoping to start its season Wednesday but now says that will have to be delayed because the weather isn't cooperating. While some resorts have used snowmaking guns to help boost how much snow is on the slopes, Monarch relies on natural snow. It hadn't said as of Friday afternoon when it might open.
