COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Authorities say two people were injured in a fire that started at a Colorado Springs church.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department said the three-alarm blaze at the Restoring Hope Church was reported at about 4 a.m. Saturday, and it took more than 60 firefighters more than an hour to douse the flames and search the building. One person was pulled from the basement, but the extent of that person's injuries was not clear.

A firefighter was also injured in the fire and was taken to Memorial Hospital. He is expected to be okay.

The extent of damage and the cause of the fire haven't been released by firefighters, but Associate Pastor Greg Thomas says there is extensive smoke damage. Firefighters also broke several windows to release heat from the building.
