2 Broomfield officers may have been exposed to chemicals in suspect meth lab

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - Two Broomfield police officers were taken to the hospital after officers discovered a possible methamphetamine lab Wednesday morning.

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Coral Way near First Avenue at about 9 a.m.  During a search of the home, officers said they discovered indications of a possible meth lab.  They  then notified North Metro Fire and Rescue and the North Metro Drug Task Force.

The two officers were taken to the hospital after potentially being exposed to toxic chemicals in the home.

According to the North Metro Drug Task Force, this is the third suspected methamphetamine lab that they have responded to recently.

Police did not indicate if any arrests were made.
