AURORA, Colo. — Police have arrested an 18-year-old man accused of killing a man and a woman in a shooting on Aug. 14.

Kyree Brown faces two counts of first-degree murder.

Joseph Roland, 39, and Jossline Roland, 40, who had five children, were killed in the shooting at a home in the 11000 block of East Cornell Circle, according to a police news release.

Brown was arrested in the shooting Thursday after a short pursuit near East 29th Avenue and Central Park Boulevard in Denver, police said.

More information about the shooting hasn't been released.

"Joe and Jossline are irreplaceable and will be dearly missed," the Roland family said in a statement Friday. "Your continued support, respect for privacy, and prayers are most appreciated in this time of unimaginable loss and grief.”

The family this week verified a GoFundMe account that has raised more than $70,000 for the Roland family in the last two weeks. The fundraiser will go toward the Rolands' five children.
