DENVER – Good morning! Here’s what you need to know today, Wednesday, Oct. 18.

1. President denies congresswoman's claim
President Donald Trump said on Twitter that Rep. Frederica Wilson "totally fabricated" her claim that he told the widow of a fallen soldier that her husband "knew what he signed up for."

2. Some CA residents going home
Several thousand people who had to evacuate due to wildfires in northern California have been allowed to return home.

3. CU Boulder cutting course fees
The university says it will cut course-related fees starting in the fall of 2018. The move is estimated to save students $8.4 million a year.

4. Help decide the future of the 16th Street Mall
Denver wants to reconfigure the 16th Street Mall and officials want your input. Open houses are scheduled for noon to 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. today so that you can see the possible design options and weigh in. The open houses are at the RTD building at 1600 Blake Street.

5. Tired of this beautiful weather?
Hopefully not, because it's going to continue for the next several days. Expect highs to stay in the mid- to upper-70s in the Denver metro. We'll cool off a bit for the weekend.
